Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) and Trauma, tension & stress releasing exercises (TRE)

We are offering a powerful session combining Connected Breathwork and TRE.
Breathwork is the art of consciously changing our breathing pattern for a required outcome.
In this session, you’ll be introduced to Conscious Connected Breathwork, an active breathing
technique that allows us to access and release held emotions.
Tension, Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.
When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
You may notice that there’s something holding you back from moving on in life that you can’t
seem to put your finger on. This may be because your body is holding onto emotions that you were unable or unsure how to express in a challenging moment. These emotions that we experience are ‘felt’ around the diaphragm (our belly), the key muscle used for breathing and the gateway to our nervous system. Most emotions are expressed, some are eliminated, others stored in the liver for release when we feel safe and some remain trapped in our bodies, causing us illness, pain and discomfort. Using CCB we can access and release these emotions so that we feel lighter, calmer, change unhelpful behaviors and self-limiting beliefs.
In addition, the shaking response in humans, much the same as the instinctual shaking in animals, is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and trauma, or unconscious muscle contraction in order to restore the body to wholeness. When the
nervous system identifies threat, vibration or shaking in the body is designed to occur automatically. However, negative social constructs and beliefs around what it means to allow ourselves to shake, tremor, or show vulnerability, condition us out of this innate release
mechanism at a very early age. TRE reawakens our body’s intrinsic release mechanism for optimal health.

During a CCB & TRE session you will enjoy music, movement, self-massage and deep connection with your body, noticing the detail, the changes we experience and the shifts in sensations as the emotion moves, settles and releases. This session is designed for anyone new to CCB and TRE who would like to find out more, explore their body and experience personal growth.
